I have thoroughly enjoyed the YouTube videos documenting the obvious folly of this endeavor, so ... it’s given us that, at least.

If this were played in a “look at these out of control assholes” context this could have been thought provoking. Instead it’s... well, it’s still thought provoking, but in a way that makes you lean away uncomfortably from the developers.

In the right game, with the right framing, it’s possible that this kind of thing could be used as a poignant commentary on all sorts of different things - in general I don’t think video games should be exempt from doing that sort of thing just because they’re interactive.
