… and now this is all academic. SPOILER: I got a belated Xmas present.

I now hear that you're trying to protect the feminist/intellect integrity of Cat. I submit to you that fun trumps a character's presentation. That we watch the show for fun first, politics second. (And I support the politics you mean to protect.)

I agree but in a backwards way. I thought it was impossible to believe Cat wouldn't make the immediate connection. And so it was a relief when she finally presented her theory.

There's something they better do in the next episode or I'll soil myself. If you noticed Kara never admitted she was Supergirl. She 'nearly' did but technically didn't. Meaning she could later claim she was so 'shocked' she didn't know what to say. Shocked and flattered someone thought she could be so 'super' as

Excellent point, but again — you're connecting something Kara is clueless about. When she learns Superman has left a super friend (pun intended) to keep an eye on Kara, we'll have yet another 'fluid' explanation which finally does the job that the pilot should have in the first place.

Not to sound like a Berlanti apologist — but I've grown to accept the fluid 'explanation' method of his shows. SUPERGIRL's pilot was terrible. In that it created as many logic problems as it introduced promising ideas. That is: the entire first half of this season has been spent 'fixing' issues in the pilot.

Calista is also doing a ton of heavy lifting. I tune in to see both of these women. Now with Hank out of the closet the three could become the anchors that the remainder of the cast are not.

From what I've observed of young people (and remember of being young) it's much harder to know what rules to really follow until you've learned the hard way.

Best episode yet. The series has crossed over from kinda-cringy to can't wait for next episode. Greg Berlanti has this stupid annoying habit that I now get but needs to be explained.

:-) I pride myself in being able to see impossible to find details. Not in this show, but in general. But the CATCH is I'm so focused on silly details I can miss the Barry In The Wheelchair Thing too.

This was one of the best episodes of the series. Not in story as much as prowess. What we saw was a supporting cast that has become so strong that Barry Allen 'literally' sat out most of the episode — and it was okay. Wow.

Now you are. But before you were being a snarky dick.

… and I'm kidding. You're a genius. Couldn't resist the gag.

Yes, but you're a buffoon, and so we really feel like idiots for not getting that.

Fanboy — I'm merely saying it didn't go anywhere for me.

I go way back with JC — all the way back to issue one of HELLBLAZER. I enjoyed it for a year or two but kinda felt it struggled to go anywhere. A fantastic character but not the kind of character that should lead a narrative. Akin to Hannibal Lector — where I loved him in LAMBS but would never watch a/the series
