I would argue that the same is true of Chick-fil-a which is still pretty regional. 1 in NY State, 24 in IL, but I think just 1 in Chicago? Why the double standard for Chick-fil-a? There are only two in the Madison, WI area (relatively new), where the Onion and AV Club are from.
