That’s so true. But the higher crop is definitely more flattering!

What has always fascinated me about the evolution of jeans in our fashion is that when I was in highschool, low cut jeans were all the rage, but girls wore for the most part normal length shirts. The result was a gap between the shirt and the pants that revealed some of the midriff below the belly button.

So basically think back to early 2000s/late 90s. What body type was “in”? Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Kate Moss. Very thin and very straight. So the type of jeans that were in were those ultra low-rise, half inch zipper having nightmares that literally no one looked good in except preteens and the aforementioned
