The only thing that doesn’t work for me is the green ligjtsaber, which wasn’t introduced until Return of the Girl. It should therefore not be in a title sequence for ESB.

Wookies see death as the the person inside the shell finally being free. It’s not a loss, as much as it a celebration that someone has moved on to a greater form. Leia knows that Wookies see death differently and do not need, nor want, comfort in times like this.
