As mentioned in the review, I was bothered by the fact that he seemingly got away with breaking into a place, lying in wait, and shooting a man, entirely premeditated. It felt dated, something for a slightly dumber show. It was the only real letdown in the episode for me.

This is the first episode where it felt like they were trying too hard to make Hickey a replacement for Pierce. In the last few episodes Hickey has his own identity, the character had its own spin on things.
