@tjb5083: Makes sense. I had no idea these satellites were that small, nor that the lead box would need to be that big. Thanks for the clarification!

Why aren't people required to re-test for licenses after so long? Does it really make sense that the ability to demonstrate driving skills at 16 correlates to the ability to do so at 76?

@branchan: Because I see cyclists almost hit every day on my way to work because they insist on going down (legally) a 45 speed limit road with ZERO shoulder. The road line is literally the edge of the pavement, both sides, 2 lanes only. They're fucking retarded for biking down it, since it's at the end of a 8 mile

@ps61318: Legal or not, it's dangerous as hell considering the absolute lack of protection for cyclists.

@HIcycles: Legally? Sure. But if something happens on accident, the cyclist is going to the hospital, if not morgue. It doesn't make sense from a safety perspective. I'd advocate more funds for bike paths and trails for sure though.

@CptTripps: Watch what iPhone sales do to Verizon's Android sales. That'll be a better indication of the draw of an Apple product for the same price point. Imagine how bad HP and Dell would be hurting if Macbook Pro's were $500 cheaper. That's what iPhone against Android is like at the same price point from my

@cha0tic: The last part makes sense. I mean, it IS an improvement and the best performance you can get from your drives, so if your goal is to stay at the cutting edge and you don't mind the cost, then why not?

@korpo: RAID 0 limits you to the capacity of a single drive. Not double; that's RAID 1.

@Setsail: Android's Linux based. Easier to code for in situations like this, requiring the highest possible uptime.

I wonder if, since the problem with electronics in space mainly deals with the radiation and such, if putting the components (since they're much smaller) in a lead box would be feasible.

@philibuster: If there is no shoulder, you should not be biking on it.

Awesome on paper, and will likely be a solid product, but it will take way too long to get to market, and by the time it does it'll no longer be cutting edge. Android will out-pace it from a hardware perspective, and Apple buyers are buying Apple.

@cha0tic: Using the HDD as a pagefile halfway defeats the purpose of a SSD. Make it small and move it back.

I've been thinking for months that Apple will push out the white iPhone 4 right as their sales start to slip in anticipation of the new model.

The iPhone is going to eat Verizon's Android sales alive.

@seamonkey420: Google hasn't even released a first party app for their own Gmail tasks list. For how savvy that company can be, sometimes they just boggle me.

@pobox90210: Pretty sure they were just getting slammed; I got that for a few attempts and then it worked fine an hour or so later.

@wætherman: 3 fingers can be enabled as a zoom function under accessibility for people who can't see the screen well. While I am ALL FOR 3 fingers down for a notification panel, up for the multitask ribbon, and l/r to switch apps, I guess Apple has decided that 3 fingers have already been spoken for.

What I like it for is that I have a company phone, but would like to keep a personal number active for when I no longer work for this company. GV allows me to do that, and not have to pay an entirely separate monthly bill for sporadic voice calls and heavy SMS usage. My other phone requirements are number agnostic,
