I’ve actually seen a lot of “first start after sitting for years” videos. Lots of different vehicles, cars, trucks, industrial engines, etc. Watching giant diesel engines start up is kind of fascinating. 

I used this technique on my last car, when the tubes for the washers cracked so nothing would spray. I did it for quite a while - after replacing them the washers were never very good so I’d still use that method.

Re: glasses sliding down. I’ve discovered that if I wrap the elastic around the arms of my glasses, they stay put. It sort of helps with fogging on my better cloth masks (with little metal strips for the bridge of your nose) as they don’t quite end up in the fog zone.

Ditto except I don’t live in a city, I just lack space. I’ve been building a model railroad for my father the last couple of years, and frankly I’ve not really missed having a broken car to tinker with.
