I loved that movie! Stumbled across it by accident on pay per view one time, like twice. By accident.

That was hat hair.
I haven’t, either, and I’ve always used it on a PC as well. Sure, it’s clunky, but it generally does what I need it to do (which is backup devices and continue to let me add music to an ancient 60GB iPod that I use at work).
Yeah, but it’s starting to move westward. I can find it in a couple of grocery stores here in the Chicago area.
Funny thing is, if those were mud tires and this was some kind of safari/zombie car, people would be all over it.
Thank you for the explanation. The vast majority of cars I’ve driven from the late 80's on up do this - however when I am signaling a lane change I just move the stalk all the way and cancel it when I’m done. I legitimately didn’t think that many people hold it - I don’t cause I find it annoying to do so (I don’t mind…
I kind of think it’s funny that half the people say they love keyless because “I’ll never have to worry about locking the key in the car again!”. I’ve never locked my keys in the car....because I lock them with the key. (And I don’t think I’ve owned a car built since the 80's that allows you to lock the driver’s door…
Why do you have to hold the stalk? On every car I’ve driven it will stay put till you cancel it or it self cancels. Unless you are talking about having to cancel it if you didn’t turn the wheel far enough (or yours is malfunctioning - I had a car with a bad stalk, so you had to hold it to make it blink)
Ding! This is the one thing that drives me mad about keyless. I can’t actually leave one locked in my driveway unless I want to hide the key in a metal box on the second floor or park on the street. At least with a normal key the damn car stays locked.
One fault in that plan - the Golden Eagle actually has a little collector value, so once fixed up you wouldn’t DD it. Similarly, good XJ’s are getting hard to find outside of the desert, so if the one he has is actually in decent nick you don’t want to subject it to a Michigan winter, where it will dissolve almost…
I feel I should add that something like bad accident damage or if you’ve not maintained the car, then I can see buying something newer.
First, you can hang onto the Accord for a bit until your FICO increases, though this may not be ideal given the age of the car
Some of it’s just use. The Vauxhall Cavalier is exactly the same kind of car as a Chevy Cavalier - a cheap little shitbox that by the time the fourth owner gets it, is just beat up and once it dies it gets thrown away.
However, Britain does have the MoT, so a lot of cars get scrapped when they’re unsafe and not…
No belts, either. I know I’d have gotten tossed out immediately.
Come for the boobs, stay for the set design!
There is. If you look past the boobs and the various Francostaches, there’s some great set design.
I never not notice boobs.
Yeah, I’ve been known to watch mid-century period pieces, just to look at the scenery. I can’t tell you what went on in Mrs. Maisel because I was looking at the scenery. I barely notice all the boobs in The Deuce. Heck, I watched all of Vinyl just because of the costumes and set design.
What this means is that all the good bars will be empty tonight!
Kind of. I know more about that scene than I ever thought I would. There’s a huge long thread on the Pelican Parts BB about one of the more famous Mulholland cars, and a lot of the posters go into a lot of detail about the history. I was super fascinated by it for a hot minute.
