It’s almost as though there’s a whole group of people who actively work to keep young women misinformed about their own bodies and basic biology, huh?

My mom used to call this the “Well, I’m okay, Jack!” mentality. It’s like people who parallel park leaving three feet either side, and then complain they can never get a parking space but x infinity.

I used to read Jez because I enjoyed it.  Now I find myself coming to see who my least favorite taker of hot takes is. I’ve no one to blame but myself, I know.

Remember when, after Amy Winehouse died, everyone said “someone should have done something instead of writing and/or snarky articles about what a mess she was”? Despite riding their high horses after the fact, “journalists” have not come far, it seems.

Also terminally online here, too. All I can surmise is that at one point he owned a laptop?

I’m torn. While I think it should be the right of any person who is violated to tell the story how and when they want to, once you put that on instagram for the world to see, doesn’t it kind of become public use?

Calling it life altering while also linking to their previous story about how terrible is was it pretty apt.

I keep asking this, and no one ever answers, but I genuinely want to know how the interest compounds so greatly that people’s student loans are increasing over time. Even my credit card balance, with crazy high interest, doesn’t go up as long as I make a payment. Neither does a mortgage, right?

It’s such a common and gross toxic man thing to do.  How many guys do we all know who, after being broken up with by a girl, have spouted the line “That bitch was crazy!” instead of admitting they lost someone they really wanted to stay with.

I’ve been asking this so much because I genuinely don’t understand! I graduated in 2008 AKA the worst time to be fresh in the job market, missed multiple payments over the years because I literally couldn’t afford them at the time, and am about to close out the last of my loans because I have less than $2,000ish

Coincidence that this story has completely disappeared from the “home” screen of the whole site?

This is just straight up irresponsible journalism given that the orthopedic surgeon “quoted” in the article is in the comments trying to tell people that her comments were oversimplified and taken out of context. It’s a really gross look for a website that often tries to call out others for misreporting facts.

Thank you for commenting to explain the context in which you spoke!  Now, how do we get your comment to the top of the comment section?!

I did a little bit of a deeper dive (because I’m a sucker for punishment) and this troll also has comments about how their stock portfolio made them so much money they feel guilty about it/ had recently got a new job and consider themselves affluent.

I had a friend who worked at one of her stores in the same mall I was working at at the time they filed for bankruptcy. She gave me a heads up that they were selling EVERYTHING to liquidate. Like, all the shelves, mannequins, decor etc. I wish I’d taken the opportunity to score some weird Betsey decor :/

So... according to your math 1/3 of $150,000 equals $90,000? Uhhhh....

Oh man. This whole thing reminds me of how when he left Jennifer Anniston he made some comment about how all he wanted to do was smoke weed and chill and he wanted to be with a more ambitious woman. At the time, people ate that shit up like he was some kind of hero on a crusade to improve the world.

Yeah, it’s hard not to feel inadequate when someone my age is running an entire country, while I struggle to put my dirty laundry IN the hamper instead of the floor.

This is a weirdo troll who has been using this exact screenshot for a few years, at least. I happened to google a name today because I couldn’t remember I’d heard it and behold! The same screenshot, from the same person, 2 years ago!

Her comment about that could literally not have been made at a worse time. How did her publicist (who I think she cited payments to as one of the reasons for her not being able to stop working?) let her think that was okay to say?!
