Who determines that it’s the wrong lesson?

Father: “Now before we watch this movie you should know that the author of the original story was a racist fuck.”
Child: “ I don’t give a fuck.”

Unfortunately, that’s not what the clickbait headline is designed for. It’s designed to irritate those of us (like myself) who grew up with the Disney animation by associating a fun coming of age story from our childhood with colonial imperialism...and shame on us for enjoying the trash of an obvious bigot.
