I feel like Block crashes every fucking race.

Fuck consumer reports. You realize that the poor ratings on the Fords come from problems with the MyFord Touch in car entertainment system? Not exactly a measure of reliability in anyway that a car person cares about.

"A bunch of people" ? On Google Plus ???

The noise issue is bullshit. It's bullshit in the same way that "loud pipes save lives" is bullshit.

Studies show that noise has little effect on safety. Considering the exhaust is pointed away from your direction of travel and the commoner won't hear your Two Brothers fart can until you're very close to them, you can see why. Plus if that person isn't paying enough attention to see you, they aren't going to hear you.

I can do the same. APR Stage 1 for $500 gets you 40hp and 90tq in the current MK6 GTI. Just sayin' :)

Wrong. Everyday IS track day. Only difference is that my fellow commuters aren't aware of it.

I get what you're saying. I just like having a good amount of power (with the option to tune and get a ton more), the ability to put two bikes in the back with the seats down, get 35mpg on the highway, and when all is said and done be able to do all this with a near-Audi quality interior/build.

Well it's a hatch, for a kick off. Also, as disappointing as the nav/infotainment is on this the Subaru systems are worse. The VW feels like a more solid, more livable car. And enthusiast with the budget for just one car to track and drive every day would probably value that.

It has the ability to be a relaxed daily driver. It's not the ultimate track day car, it's not a cushy cruiser, but it lives somewhere between. It can handle four adults of reasonable size comfortably, it can carry a bunch of stuff...I mean, read the article. It's good at a bunch of different things, but not

Personal preference, I guess. I'd rather have everything be black as night in an interior.

What the hell are you doing to your car?

Because not everyday is track day?

In general, the Fords appeal to different buyers. I could make the case the Fiesta ST is the better city hot hatch. You can ignore some of its refinement faults by looking at the price – the same way you'd do that for a 500 Abarth.

The "darkness" is what's awesome about it. Why would you want some stain-prone, crappy beige or grey headliner?

Honestly, the GTI still feels solid rather than heavy. It strikes that balance pretty perfectly. Not as playful as an Integra GS-R, but then what is today? Something like an ILX 2.4 just feels flimsy in comparison.

The GTi should be compared the Focus ST, not the Fiesta.

Is the GTI the hottest hatch out there? Probably not. Would you be making sacrifices to take it over a scaled down Audi or BMW or whatever? No way. It's a hot hatch that will tick all of the essential boxes. You'll smile often, grin only on special occasions. At least without the Performance Pack.

I want to do this to her.

I'm Raphael Orlove, and this is Jackass I just learned how bolt patterns work.
