Enhance! He’s correct. It’s missing the pedal.

You can get a bike quite cheap just to fuck-off with and learn on. If you can swing it, get a cheap one to ride here and there and to learn on. Once you can afford a bike you want, you’ll know how to ride it.
I took this pic back in 2011. Yes, it’s a Buick Riviera. Yes it says “Rivimino” on the back.
LOL! Not the 1%. All used, and mostly VWs with an F150 and a couple Wranglers tossed in. I drive 25k miles a year, so after 2-4 years I like a change. Nice try at profiling me though.
Most of the time I’ve swapped cars because I’m bored with the previous one, or lifestyle change, or whatever. Only once did I dump off a car that had legit expensive problems, and that was a trade-in to a dealership. That’s once out of about 20 or so.
It would certainly suck to “be a statistic,” but I’m not sure what it means to “look like a statistic.” This is the closest thing I can think of to looking like a statistic. Is this what you mean?
Just watch the video at the bottom of the COTD post.
Yeah, it’s not a car, but this was my first thought. I commute 70 miles per day on my motorcycle, and we can’t lane split in MN. Gridlock stop and go traffic is the WORST on a bike. That said, if the traffic is moving a little (as long as its not stopping), the bike is so maneuverable that I can get through much…
I’ve ridden an average of 50 miles per day since April 28th (Minnesota riding season), with most of that commuting to and from work on my 70 mile round trip commute. I use a backpack, so I must not be a “serious” commuter then? Get over it.
I commute with an R20 as well, and this roll top messenger bag looks like more of a pain in the ass. I also doubt that it can fit a spare visor, a pair of jeans, a shirt, and a pair of shoes. The R20 also has a nice laptop sleeve with two cinch straps, so I’m not sure what Sean was talking about w/r/t the laptop…
Tie a hi-viz flag or piece of material to it. If you don’t give a shit about how you look (i.e. hi-viz), then a flag shouldn’t bother you.
My bike doesn’t really have a good spot for a tail bag unless I add a rack, and I don’t like the look of a rack on my bike. Otherwise, I’m with you that it’s certainly more comfortable without a backpack.
Assuming they could shave a ton of weight by doing that, they would certainly satiate lots of rabid people over on ADVrider that were hoping it was going to be a dual sport bike.
Technically a slipper clutch isn’t there to allow you to slip the clutch. If you have one, it takes the shock out of downshifts. Basically it keeps you from dragging your rear tire on a downshift from engine braking.
The first guy that got me into riding had a Harley and didn’t wear any protective gear. Subsequently, I got a cruiser and didn’t wear much protective gear. Sometimes I donned a half helmet and jacket, but most of the time I didn’t wear gear.
It’s pretty, but you are just $2500 from a new Ducati Scrambler, that has exactly twice the HP with the same fuel economy, weighs over 30 pounds less, has ABS, will take you more places, will be way more fun, and has a full warranty. Also comes in yellow. Old bikes look cool, but ride like old bikes. Considering that,…
Ha! Depreciation! I wish! I just sent this to my buddy: I wish these depreciated like the used C300 I got did… loosing 32% of it’s MSRP in 8 months and 11k miles. And then I wish I could also get them with the same MB CPO warranty, which was just $2500 to get a total of 6.5 years of unlimited miles. I’m guessing there…
Since I have not driven this or the current M3/4, I feel I am Internet qualified to say I’d take this hands down over the M3/4 any day.
Blue Mercedes because I didn’t want a black or silver one like every other MB. Black Audi because we got a good deal on it and my wife didn’t care. Yellow for the Ducati Scrambler because I love yellow and you can get away with it because 2wheels awesome. I have no idea what that says about me.
