There’s a nice little spot on my daily walk that someone just tosses these. I carry a bag and just pick them up but it’s still annoying (I assume it’s probably just one person that carries or drives with these and does a shot as they’re pulling in/out of my neighborhood and tosses them in the same spot)

We buy our snacks there. Chips, pretzels, microwave popcorn, cheese puffs, cookies, etc. You’re not finding Doritos for $1 (or $1.25 at Dollar Tree) but you can get a pretty decent selection of stuff. Given a bag of chips at the grocery store is usually somewhere between $4 and $6 now, we can save quite a bit.

Oh they’ve been terrible for  years and years but I still feel they’ve really opened up the floodgates the last few months.

It’s scary how full-fascist the GOP is going now. It’s really ramped up the last few months.

Yeah, the station we charged at both times when we first got the car (before we had the home charger installed) has 16 stalls and both times there only maybe a half dozen cars there. It’s in a shopping plaza with lots of stores and restaurants. We just plugged in and walked over to get a frozen yogurt while we waited.

That 361 mile range on the LR is pretty sweet. I wonder what real-world range is like.

I was talking with my friend the other day about how they have side mirror displays instead of outside mirrors and wondering how much they contribute to drag/affect mileage in the US. Some initial Googling says it might increase drag

I know a lot of anecdotal replies but here’s another: We’ve had an Tesla since the sale/lowered price in January and we’ve used a charger 5 times (2 of those were between when we took delivery and had the home charger installed). You’re right that we don’t really use chargers unless we are going on long trips. We did

Meh. I mean, I guess it would be okay for a backup yacht or maybe a weekend one, but not big enough for everyday yachting.

As a new Model Y owner (for about 2 months now), we just keep it at 90% unless we are going on a long trip then we go up to 100%. Once it dips below 65-70% we plug it in. Tesla recommends to ABC (Always Be Charging) and even though it’s simple and literally a 10 second task we get lazy with plugging it in every time

EVs, less, but the whole set up now that often encourages folks to leave a car in some distant no man’s corner of a mall lot and go shop will undoubtedly result in cars that are done charging but just sitting. So there would need to be a reasonable approach for this type of situation, like mark the car then if it’s

As if 1993 was 30 years ago. Holup...wait just a second. Dammit.

I’m going to take this story with a grain of salt.

Other articles (not this one for some reason) mention the cars in both instances had to have an “end of line” fix that required the wheel to be removed to address, then reattached. Apparently they forgot a step. So doubtful it’s all of them unless whatever end of line fix they are talking about affected every car and

I’m just going to copy/paste from an explanation from Reddit because it explains the situation well, but I don’t think it’s a stretch to say there would be no Disney in Florida without this deal being made. DeSantis is just upset cause he’s a dictator wanna be. His antics even play well to his base here in Florida,

We bought at the price drop cause 1) we needed a car and 2) the price drop put it roughly in the same range as the Ioniq 5 we were considering. Add in the $7500 tax credit the Ioniq 5 didn’t have, charging network and a couple other smaller things (like Sentry and Dog Modes) and ignore the Musk theatrics and it made

I love the memory feature. Not sure about other cars but our Model Y does the seat and side mirrors but I wish it also did the rearview mirror and whatever radio station/music we were listening to.

So it doesn’t require the touchscreen. It’s like complaining they provided a way to change volume on the touchscreen when you can also change it from the steering wheel button/scroll wheel. Oh noes...they provided two options!

Teslas have gotten worse since that: now you even need to use the touchscreen if you want to shift into reverse

Man I don’t like that interior very much. Window buttons by the cupholders, the 4-way button very in your face front and center, tons of buttons all over the steering wheel and a very odd looking climate control area (although I suppose the curved right side is supposed to make it blend with the screen above). And

I can’t stand Musk but in January when the Y dropped down to (basically) the same price as the Ioniq 5 that we were considering and also got the $7500 tax credit with it (making it cheaper overall) we decided to get one. Despite all the criticisms of Musk and stuff, it’s a great car and my wife and I love it.
