I remember a decade+ ago looking at my collection of 1000+ DVDs and thinking what a freaking waste of money that all was. Not only was it full of things I had watched only once (barring about a dozen titles that I watched twice and maybe 3 I watched more than that), but they all looked terrible by Blu-ray standards. Co

Oh I see. When I first load it, it only shows the SE, SEL and Limited but you have to scroll to the left to get to the SE Standard Range. A little hidden for me to get to that option.

Could my state not be an embarrassment for one damn day?

Curious where the Ioniq price of $42,785 came from. I was looking at those late last year but even now on Hyundai’s site it says it “starts at $41,450" but if you actually try to build one, it starts at 45,500.

That’s a 2023 model I should point out.

We were considering the SEL which came in at about 55k, but

I haven’t enjoyed McD’s fries in years (since they switched from beef tallow....although that’s shockingly been 30 years now. God I’m old).

Wendy’s is better, and Arby’s is also better (the regular non-curly fries)

You are right. Sometimes I forget that the site is not really a technical/news site and expect more than it provides (in this case, despite the headline, I was expecting more details on the system). My fault for setting my expectations too high, or rather expecting any article on EV’s or autonomous driving to not be

This could have been a “look how great this is!” article with a lot more information about the system rather than “look how bad Tesla is” article. I mean, if you took out all the Tesla stuff, you’d end up with this:

Well I got it from Sam’s Club but the discounted price is directly from Samsung now. Not sure if I can work around it. Wish Sam’s did a price guarantee but they don’t AFAIK.

I ordered a Model Y (from inventory) the day they announced the price cut and picked it 2 days later on Sunday. There were quite a few people there taking delivery that were upset about the price cut. While I understand, it’s a chance you take. Like I just ordered a TV in early December that got delivered 2 weeks ago

The only one of these that I’ve heard of is Ollie’s. Sometimes you can find something but normally it’s a bunch of garbage. But I’ll always go in if I find myself nearby. One of those places like Goodwill where you could go 5 times and there be nothing, and then there’s some good stuff the next time. It’s just hit or

Is there a matrix comparing these different systems and what they actually do?Like I’m familiar with Autopilot vs. Enhanced Autopilot vs. FSD on a Tesla, but I’m not familiar with the capabilities or the other systems from other manufacturers.

It also seems to be comparing the base Autopilot to an add-on (such as

Everything keeps getting darker and the dialog keeps getting quieter. I assume so they can blast your eyes with a sudden bright scene and your ears with sudden explosions.

These are great but it’s annoying that they are still stuck having to use the Nest App while everything else I have (the Google WiFi Mesh, Chromecast, all my Nest security cams, my Google Home speakers, my Nest thermostat, my lights) use the Home app.

Yes I’m “all in” on the Google smart home but it’s mildly annoying

Thankfully I have my own (DVD...sigh) copy of The Wall. It’s the movie I’ve watched the most as I tend to put it on for background noise then end up watching it.

As someone who is old enough to have seen Star Wars in it’s original theatrical run and have been a lifelong fan, I never thought I’d get burnt out on it, but here we are. Unfortunate.

I want a self-driving car. That being at least a level 4. I don’t really care how much I love to drive, it’s more that if a self-driving car can be safer for me and my family than I (a human driver full of faults) can be, I’ll take it.

We bought into the hype and got it. My 21 year old loved it. Me, being 50, hated it and gave up at about 12 hours. Like you, I just wasn’t having fun with it. I can understand the appeal, but just not the type of game for me. I don’t want to have to experiment with dozens of mysterious items just to figure out what

Yeah, I’m old I guess. Iggy Pop is the only artist on the entire list I’ve heard of. Sigh.

I set up a shortcut so I can open my camera directly to video (rather than opening my camera then having to click on the video tab). Saves a valuable couple of seconds when my kids are doing something I want to capture as quickly as possible.

I think slide 12 (Google Lens) is either out of date or my phone (Pixel 5A) is different. When I long press on the subject, I just get a little rectangle with a lock and it says that “Google Lens has moved to Modes” (where you can find it under the Modes menu)
