Hello fellow grey. I agree, really bad acting...BUT that song? Me like. Hadn’t heard of the band, Stinky Toys, until now so there’s that.

Thanks for the info! I really appreciate it!

I definitely don’t understand the system. I read daily, comment infrequently. I’ve been black, then am suddenly back in the grays. repeatedly. As a lowly gray, it is harder to participate and it does feel like only the same small group is commenting.

Well said. Every week, I feel like Tweet Beat is a missed opportunity. I don’t use Twitter, so I love seeing the funny, insightful or just plain weird tweets that make it on to the net elsewhere. Here, it always seems like an afterthought, blah posts by blah people...except Cher, those are good.

My dad died in March. He was deep in the throes of his mental illness and had isolated himself from everyone. He had always loved the Beatles and when I was little, he let me stay home from school the day John Lennon was killed. We got ice cream cones and cried together. That was a memory I hung onto when it was hard

Thanks for that link, it’s perfect!

Yes! I mentioned it elsewhere in this thread. I just had fillers done under my eyes and in my cheeks about two weeks ago. The doctor used Juvaderm XC, which left a hard clumpy cord under my eye. When I went back, he said to massage it and wait for it to settle. I read on RealSelf that most doctors would never use this

I’ve read that too and do think there’s something to looking less angry if frown lines are severe.

I wish I could remember where I recently read an article about how NOT scowling/frowning after Botox makes people feel happier because they appear less angry and are treated differently! Maybe on huffPo-? I know, I know...it wasn’t sponsored by Botox!

I had Juvaderm XC done under my eyes last week (the filler recommended by my doctor), then read on RealSelf that it is a bad choice because it is too lumpy for such delicate skin. I wish I’d read that first! It has left a lumpy cord under my eye and hasn’t created the smooth transition I’d hoped for. The only thing to

No. Under eye areas are the most difficult to treat and require filler, but only certain ‘soft’ fillers. It’s REALLY IMPORTANT to shop around and read reviews before choosing who does your fillers and/or botox.

Yep. Also hilarious to middle schoolers: “What are those?”

Oh, not the bullshit trans conversation again! People, we’ve been through this! Can we just talk about Rachel’s face after Loni elbows her about her “black” baby at the end of the video? Hilarious!

Exactly! And when you are so frustrated that you have to call in the safety officer, it’s their JOB to know how to remove a student safely and without escalating the situation. Any moron can grab, drag and hit.

I love a lot of things about Jezebel, but will never understand the lack of love for Kristen Wiig here, especially contrasted with the constant gushing adoration given to mediocre corporate “artists”. Bridesmaids is genius, period.

I get it, but just remember, most of the time there’s some asshole manager demanding that you upsell, even when it doesn’t benefit you AND it annoys the customers! Minimum/low wage jobs suck.

Oh GOD. You brought back a memory: Our t shirt shop sold shirts for $18, came to $19.62 with tax. “That was a great year!”, said EVERY SINGLE DAD EVER, so very pleased with themselves over their hilariously original joke. It was so hard to fake a polite smile after hearing this 100,000,000 times.

Thanks. This guy was getting on my nerves too. He’s got one point and he is going to JAM IT DOWN EVERYONE’S THROATS, DURNIT!

I paused it and it really looked like Maggie

Sorry, I’d missed the latest Gawker article you were referring to
