You can order a drink that isn’t basic as can be and still not be a jerk, are you really saying that you can’t order an old fashioned in a bar, or a negroni?

Sonic corn dog and Route 44 unsweet iced tea is my snack of choice if I’m running errands between lunch and dinner and need a little something.

Okay, douche.

Bumpers that actually allow you to “bump” stuff without inflicting $3k+ in damage.

All well and good until you want to roll down any window other than the driver’s.  I love being able to drop all four windows in my car from one door-mounted cluster.

Excellent outward visibility - thin pillars, low cowl, low beltline, etc.

My kingdom for skinny A pillars

Agreed. Not only have I never had electric windows break down, but the ability to roll down all the windows from the driver’s seat is a godsend.

I’d prefer to have buttons and knobs back:

Physical buttons, for the love of god, a button that does the thing you want it to do is so much better than navigating an infotainment menu or a nontactile touch button.

The price or both new and used cars used to be soooo much lower, even just last year...

I say bring that back.

Normal cars built in multiple body-styles:

No screens. Ive had enough of them. I strightforward, simple cars with switchgear.

Is size a feature? SUVs/CUVs/Trucks are too damn big.

Rain gutters. Even if you don't smoke (yuck) some people like to crack the windows. Can't do it without a constant stream of water coming in.

Simple mechanical engines, no ECU and other electronics

Bumpers that are separate from the rest of the body panels and are made to actually bump into things. My first car was a 1986 VW Scirocco that had magnificent black-rubber bumpers. A few minor fender-benders and bumps (I was a typical teenage driver and definitely learned a lot with that car) and you could never tell.

Trucks that are somewhere between compact and midsize cars for fuel economy and size that can carry 1500lbs and do some light towing.
