Very well said. We are on a slippery slope with any suggestion to nationalize our police forces. More government is not what we need. I believe the protesters feel oppressed and want equal freedoms (I’m not debating whether that is real or perceived. Just my $0.02).

Looting and other crimes would spike as it is, once again here. The police are supposed to protect and serve all citizens. They have to show up and protect peaceful protesters and arrest those breaking the law.
