Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (100% on RT) is the anime that basically answers the question: “What is Shinji we’re relatea le and actually GOT IN THE DAMN ROBOT TO TRY AND THE SAVE THE WORLD?!”

Not sure I love the boob armor here, but the aesthetics of this image are gorgeous.  I love the way the crazy background is reflected onto the gleaming metal armor.
