You seem very uncomfortable with this critique. Someone once told me that the best policy was that you just suck it up, keep your mouth shut, and get used to it.

It’s interesting that Kelly-Anne has stepped away from the spotlight. I expect her to reappear something like a menstrual ailment in roughly three years time.

Bone spurs, part II.

Cash, diamond rings, swimming pools!

hysteria medication, I love that!

I could see a very dear-to-my heart male friend doing this. He sometimes genuinely laughs at things that are horrible (and that don’t intersect with his life in anyway), or makes jokes, and when I call him on it, he calls it gallows humour.

“Anyone here knowledgeable about the topic could tell me if there is another remedy if prairie dog culling isn’t an option?”

Sometimes people fail. And hopefully they learn from their moments of outwardly seeming weakness.

They gave away Anna Farris’s elderly sick cat on twitter (because it was sick and elderly, and she was pregnant—they were worried the sick cat would make her sick in turn, which is a kind reading, or, they didn’t have the patience to clean it’s throw-up anymore, which is a less-kind reading).

An aside: I know one plumber and I do not exaggerate: he makes (a low, but still) six figures a year. It is a very lucrative position, at least in Western Canada. It’s blue collar in that it has low social capital, but not in the way that it has high fiscal capital.

Aww, I wouldn’t have said anything either, probably. That’s rough. I bet it was the clothes that was the culprit for the smell (for the most part), particularly if any of it was polyester and second hand. I hope he’s doing better these days.

I’m genuinely not attacking you. I apologize for what may be a cultural misunderstanding (?).

In the case here, the stroller was foldable, so it was going into storage in an overhead bin. Moreoever, she had been told it was okay already by another steward. So not relatable to being a bus passenger.

You’re right, twenty weeks is usually long enough to decide if you want to have a baby. And lord knows, having a late term abortion is NOT an easy procedure--no woman of sound mind casually opts for this. Unfortunately, you can’t screen for very serious fetal anomalies until about 18-20 weeks--anomalies that commonly

He doesn’t have a 100% rating. Read the article above: PP disputes this claim.

You’re right actually, I forgot about the infamous golden parachute. That said, I think the potential of public censure and losing a public platform is a real fear -- Bill O’Reilly is already really, really wealthy, and old, frankly, and surely gets something else from his talk show that’s not about a retirement plan

If he is fired, he’ll almost certainly move to radio, but I am nearly certain that this would reduce his sphere of his influence dramatically (the age demographic of his die-hard supporters aside).

Tide goes in, tide goes out!

You’re not wrong, but I do think whenever someone high profile like this is fired for reasons of abuse of power (gendered, racial, sexual, what-have-you) it causes future--and current!—shitbags to hesitate in the exercise of their own discriminatory ideas. Not because they reconsider their worldview, but because

I’m not a lawyer, but a small handful of lawyers I know think that United is very possibly liable (for damages). Ethically speaking, I don’t need a lawyer to confirm their culpabilty in what occurred.
