That’s an odd comparison since those are generally known for being all wrinkled and dangly.
I’m so used to seeing this in its US configuration that the Euro stuff looks weird to me. Not better - just odd.
Take a step back and look at this ridiculous thing through the eyes of Fancy Kristen.
They sold on boring for 20 years. When you’re selling luxury vehicles, ‘boring’ classic styling is a good thing.
I think they did have access to the dealer system (on the Mexico side of the border) but I didn’t remember the physical key being required.
Aren’t these the ones that were getting stolen by the dozen and delivered to Mexico because you can get full control of the car in a matter of minutes without the keys?

I know, but isn’t there some mileage where that failure becomes far less likely? I think there is, but don’t know the details since I’m not shopping for one.
I don’t know. I was incredibly high when I wrote that.
My dogs are also set at bumper height. My cats are 17... at this point the garage door would be doing gods’ work.
I’d be surprised if there wasn’t a relatively easy way to splice in another set of sensors.
I have no kids, so I set my safety beams at bumper height.
Probably a labrador.
