It’s not even the companies with this as their only vehicle. I don’t know if anyone has been successful in selling a city car in the US. Smarts are rare. I don’t think I ever saw a Scion iQ in the wild. Both of those are complete cars with heat, AC, doors and safety equipment.

I can understand crash concerns, but I’d feel at least as safe in this as in an Elio. Probably much safer since actual steel tubes provide better impact protection than bullshit and poor planning.
