Gotta give it to Porsche, they listen to their customers. Just like when they brought the manual back in the 991.2 Gt3.

Farewell to a great generation of 911. I prefer the looks of the 991 over the 992. I’m looking forward to the 992 GT3 as I hope it will cause 991.2 GT3s to depreciate a bit so I can trade or compliment my 981 CS with one.
Ahh makes sense. I’ve only seen a couple around here.
Where do you live where you see a lot of these? I rarely see these in NY, where nice cars are very common.
I don’t understand everyone’s love for this car. Lexus did things backward by introducing the front fasica/grill on their lower end models and THEN using it on their halo model. That made it look somewhat stale by the time it came out. Sure the grill and design language is much better executed on the LC500 but it just…
That is no longer an issue and hasn’t been for years. Some Jabras I use that are at least two years old connect to my phone instantly.
Sapphire Blue Metallic is gorgeous. The 991.2 gt3 front end was a big improvement over this though
While I mostly agree with you, most cars comes from the factory at least slightly biased towards understeer for safety reasons. Yes, even the Cayman. I have a 981 Cayman S that I track with the X73 suspension (most aggressive factory suspension) and even that had a tad bit of understeer when pushed hard. A slightly…
Apparently it’s real. Someone told me mine weren’t aligned at my first PCA HPDE event and I though they were joking... but they weren’t
I love it on mine as well. What Porsche did right is giving us the ability to turn it off unlike some manufacturers.
Does the “silencer system” you referenced muffle the exhaust note noticably?
Ah i see. For a car that can fit 3 kids yet is still fun, you really can’t beat the Macan. The Evora should certainly put a smile on your face, good luck!
You went from a sports sedan to a... crossover? Don’t get me wrong, when I get a Macan as a loaner it always surprises me with how much fun it is for a crossover but it is still a crossover. Why not get a Cayman or 911 if you were looking for more “joy”.
We have a winner.
This sounds ok, but I have yet to hear a 4 cylinder car that actually sounds really good.
Why does everyone assume you have to be a drug dealer or living off mommy and daddy to afford nice things. I bought my Cayman S at 23 without any assistance and I didn’t think it was that outlandish as i’m not the only one around my age that I know with a nice car. You guys do know some people just work hard for…
To answer your first question, it depends on how important sound is to you. Some don’t mind trading the aurally pleasing and smooth flat 6 for the increased power and performance of the 4 cylinder. But most 981 owners, including myself can’t get over the disappointing exhaust note. I haven’t driven a gts but I did…
I did the exact same thing about a year ago. I purchased a manual 981 Cayman S and had only tried briefly driving manuals in friend’s cars maybe 2 0r 3 times in my 7 years of driving. I read up a lot on the subject and how a manual transmission works so I would at least have a fundamental understanding to make up for…
This is one of the cars I was considering a few months ago as I love the looks and exhaust note, but went a different route for a few reasons:
This was a great first car for me (got a 2003 back in 2011). Light, good handling, reliable, efficient and pretty good looking. Curvy roads were fun in this thing. Only problem was that is was painfully slow (especially the 140 hp GT version I had). Although, that is not necessarily a bad thing for a first car.
