As usual, what angers me about this kind of thing is that you will never, NEVER get two mainstream MALE characters having a gay relationship officially confirmed.

I do think that we need more female friendships in comics, but the solution to that is write some good female friendships, not to erase same-sex attraction from stories. Like it or not, Harley and Ivy have had a degree of sexual tension in their relationship from the beginning.

“Can’t two girls just be close freinds” I hate this one. Two things about that: 1) Medias needs far more non-heteronormative representation that it needs friendships.

Bruce Timm said that the Joker was going to say “Busy little beavers” instead of bees in “Harley and Ivy” (even got past The Board of Standards and Practices) but he decided it was too much at the last second.…
