So Bernie seems to have, after four years of having the chance to learn from the errors of 2016 and widen his reach, failed in reaching the very same groups who he failed to reach last time essentially.

“Beyond that, it says only what we already knew, in that younger Democrats are more progressive, and more interested in large-scale structural reform than that promised by the moderates among the Democratic Party candidates. “
Honestly, people this year are acting like 2018 never happened, and have taken entirely the wrong lessons from 2016 where the woman was more popular than the man.
I’m a elder Gen X and I would love it if Warren was a front runner. I don’t trust anyone else running AT ALL. I don’t care what any of those dudes say, they’re all problematic AF...and I’ll have to vote for one of them, eventually.
It killed me that Elizabeth didn’t run in 2016 but I fully understand. It kills me know that she is the goddamned BEST candidate but yet she’s shorted by the media, the DNC, and dipshit so-called moderates. WTF folks? Biden can’t even remember what he’s running for or if he was arrested or just politely redirected…
The election was close enough that you can point to a few reasons she lost. She would have won if it weren’t for Bernie bros not supporting her. She would have won if people were so sexist. She would have won if there hadn’t been Russian meddling. Had any one of those or a few other things gone differently, she would…
I’ve argued with my wife, who thinks Hilary only lost because she was a woman, for 4 years. The lack of support for Ms. Warren, who is far and away the most qualified and most deserving candidate in this election, has ended my argument.
Yup. I really like Warren, but I suspect that if she hadn’t handed Bloomberg his ass in that debate she would also be out by now.
If your heart is with Warren, vote for Warren. Period. This attitude has been hurting Warren all along, and we’ve literally only had voting in 4 states, none of them especially large.
Everyone, remember, no matter what, we need to vote out 45 in November. Hold your nose if you have to, but do not allow your personal feelings to get in the way. Vote for the Democratic nominee on the ballot or you will responsible for 45 getting another term to further destroy our democracy--and that is not hyperbole.
This is literally the first primary in a few cycles where vote are counting more than usual because no one came out as the early favorite. So I’m not even sure what you mean by that last line. The longer the (competitive) process is literally means later states count more than they otherwise would.
Even if the scenario you’re describing is true, it isn’t rigging anything. The term “rigging” implies illegal vote manipulation or straight-up electoral fraud, and that’s not what’s happening here. At worst, Pete strategically dropped out now because he knows it’ll help Biden. That’s a little underhanded, but it’s…
I shudder to think of how much you spend a month on your tin foil hats.
How is this rigging? He was running for somebody’s VP anyway
She went to cheap, non-competitive public schools for her education.
I really, really, REALLY wish the majority of Black voters (AND white voters) were aware of just how superior a candidate Warren is. I’m desperately afraid we’re going to get Sanders, and while he’s clearly preferable to Trump, that’s hardly clearing a high bar - ALL the candidates are preferable to Trump.
I’m curious as to how you think we’d get it passed in the first year, given the composition of the Senate. Right now we need a net gain of 3 Senate seats to even get to a slim majority (50+tiebreaker). And even among those, you’ve got people like Joe Manchin who are highly unlikely to vote for it.
You gotta be white?
Yet her “watered down” plan implements 100% M4A in 3 years with a complete roadmap for the process legislatively, administratively, and economically. How long does Bernie’s plan take? How does he intend to get there?
I cannot find any fault for this well researched and honest listing. Firmly grounded in reality for all candidates. Doesn’t shit on any one.
