I don’t think the BLM protests were causing international economic impact. There’s a difference between peaceful protesting, and blocking trade routes. Also, the BLM protests were a grassroots movement, while the “freedom convoy” was funded by a lot of countries other than Canada.

They had plenty of time and warning. When you street race, you risk your vehicle being seized. When you do other illegal activities with your vehicle on public property, you risk your vehicle being seized.
