The 86/BRZ twins can hold a surprising amount of crap, but the kicker is that it has to fit into the small trunk opening, or through the side. It’s really difficult to get those big plastic rubbermaid storage totes *into* the car, but you can probably fit 3 with the back seats down, and still have the full trunk area…

As someone mentioned to me when I complained about this, if you click the comment bubble icon just under the title of the article, it seems to load. Not much better than refreshing the page, but if you press it right away, you don’t need to scroll down and then refresh.
As with any hobby/skill requiring a tool, there’s a place for the expensive, technically impressive stuff, but I find the guy in his shed mastering a craft with crap equipment far more impressive.
