Am I the only one who remembers that one episode of Bonanza where a travelling merchant had a miniature automobile? When was Bonanza? 1870-80's? That must surely have been America's earliest car.

Hahaha! I've seen quite a few of those. Repainted a some saab hoods and the emblems tend to look like this. I go to my boss to get him to order new emblems. "grumble grumble grumble stop breaking everything you touch"

I ... The basic premise of this movie is so awesome. And so is that poster. I want this to be really awesomely fantastic. Is it?

I loved this movie quite a bit.

It actually took me several tries just to sit through it. This and SWHS are the only two things I have literally had to turn off several times even though I have wanted to see them.

I'm so happy for you. So happy for all of us, in fact. I hope that one day, if my beloved car ever gets stolen, I will have people as helpful as all you guys there for me. It's good to see the internet used for more than porn and shouting at eachother and Jalopnik is one of those special places

Pteridium Petroleum. The Common Plastic Ornamental Fern.

I thought this guy got a new nature blog or something.

Well, Kotaku is, well.. I don't want to offend anyone, but Kotaku generally has a less mature audience than io9, I would say. Yes, I would definitely say that. Any sane, mature individual would not get their knickers in a twist over a cartoon. Especially one as inoffensive as mlp.

I absolutely think ponies themselves have a place on this blog, regardless of it's fandom.

They've posted stuff here regularly since the start of season 2 at least =)

It resonates on the same frequency as my soul. I think it has something to do with anxiety and that feeling I need to run away and start a new, simpler life, living off the land, some times.

The last picture (The dapper deer) brought me to that special magical place Midlake's "The Trial of van Occupanther" takes me too =)

Is that a Buick Opel he's leaning on?

Bah. You haven't lived until you've had brunost on oat crackers.

I didn't say "it was better" I just said I found it more understandable.

Thank you for replying! I was a little put off by the article and I am glad to hear there wasn't any bad intents by it. It was a little hard to read the intent of the article, and I think it would have been sad if it really was making fun of this book, as it does seem to showcase the "good part" of the fandom. It is

I don't really understand furries. At least bronies has a good show to be fan of, but furries? They just have themselves and .. err.. Starfox.

I was split on the subject. On one side, these people need to be laughed at... or rather, we, as parts of various fandoms, need to be able to laugh at this. I do personally believe these things, and these writers should be a laughing stock, but I felt it was really out of place on io9.

Sometimes I feel really lonely in this word for thinking "Demolition Man" is a bucket of fun and then some. Also, it has aged better than most movies of the time.
