A ranger, Hanna Jóhannsdóttir, told AP that “Food from people’s home country is the most common bribery” he receives from passerby desperate to access Fjadrárgljúfur canyon.

and before that, Ryan Reynolds

I remember back when magazines were describing a young Johansson as being the new Elizabeth Taylor. Looks like that’s tracking.

Well, Jost is an idiot. But good luck, maybe it’ll work this time.

Sometimes I get that “I’m a bad friend” feeling when I don’t return someones call for a long time, or I forget a birthday, etc. Then I remember . . . there are people like this woman in the world . . . and I realize that I am doing okay.

Yeah, seriously. She’s fucking exasperating with her martyr complex.

The problem is she’s choosing a really poor hill to fight on. She’s basically protesting the entire concept of a grand jury, which... sure, you could argue that in a perfect world we wouldn’t use them, but it’s a longstanding and accepted part of the US legal system. They even gave her immunity for her testimony,

Dr. Singh spoke of running AIGH as a start-up and seemed determined to replicate Silicon Valley’s tech- bro culture. Normal recruitment was disregarded in favor of Dr. Singh directly hiring largely younger, male friends and contacts, despite their lack of experience in global health.

There is a lot fucked up about it. But it definitely doesn’t override rights of self-incrimination. The problem for Ms. Manning is that she was already convicted and sentenced for the crime. She can’t be tried for that crime again. So, she has no valid rights against self-incrimination since no criminal prosecution

After Giuliani, anything with a human soul looks good.

That’s Cuomo’s job :\

The pervasiveness of contracts with unenforceable provisions or clauses is astounding to me, as a non-lawyer observer. There seems to be a whole side of the legal business that just essentially tricks people into thinking they are obligated to do/not do X or Y thing just because it says so in a contract.

It’s cool, I imagine it can be very frustrating to see a bunch of people having a conversation that doesn’t personally interest you, such that you need to participate in the conversation in order to let everyone know that

Tough day huh

This is part of the irony for me. “People my age” are totally into Pokemon. But when I was 15, people who were 12 were not “people my age.” Whereas at, say, 36, a 33 year old basically is.

As always, I am hesitant to reply to comments with the knowledge that the Kinja system elevates Staff contributions and thus the comments themselves, but I want to address this since I’ve seen it pop up a couple of times in my notifications.

I’m 34 years old and have never seen this shit. What in the seven layers of hell...

Me too.  But I wouldn’t have taken a picture of her and put her on blast on Twitter, because I’m not a fucking asshole.

Are you me?
