Had a friend who worked at MS during the Vista launch and post-launch era (not on the OS team).

Best thing he told me was that far and above the biggest cause of BSOD’s was drivers. And mostly graphics drivers at that.

Apparently because all of the other versions of Windows had been so incremental the majority of the

Hadn’t heard this fan theory. Odd because I would say quite definitively that the old guy in RotJ is very definitely a white dude (albeit a grubby one)...and Rex and the clones aren’t.

I get why people think these connections are cool but it’s odd to take a (now) well developed and loved character and have them appear

> they could probably sell more Switch units by marketing a special “vintage” store that houses all of their most popular S/NES titles.

I mean the virtual console is pretty much that. You could buy most of the good S/NES titles for the Wii even, as well as some of the more popular N64 ones.

I mean you can look at it as

I’d say the bigger shame is that she opted to make so many of the extremity pieces yellow rather than blue so she looks like Bumblebee from the waist down.

Should have just done the bat symbol the belt and maybe the cape lining blue. The cowl sides/top and outer of the cape are the only blue things on that costume now.

I think they probably realized their massive fuckup was in not allowing you to buy more games for it to expand the library and keep making money.

If they’re smart they pulled it because they realized they could do so much better with a v2 that shipping more v1's might hurt their next gen of sales.

Ideally at E3 this

The best response to any idiot threatened would be, “This is Disney...do you really think anything they do will result in fewer toys on shelves??”

They aren’t trying to take ‘boy toys’ off of shelves...they’re trying to get Star Wars on every single aisle of the toy store.

Looking forward to getting some “morally gray” women in Star Wars. Once you fill out a cast with strong positive role models you realize they often feel stiff and uninteresting.

I think Mara Jade struck such a chord because she definitely had an edge. I had hopes that Cpt. Phasma could fill that role but...swing and

....aaaaand two decades later I just realized I always read that as “Palleon” which isn’t even close.

I did it similarly but with out the “r”, so it was it like “Bow-ath” in my head.

The real question is...how the fuck do you say it??

I was in 5th or 6th grade when I read them and even to this day I often crawl through fantasy/sci-fi books if I can’t pronounce the names easily in my head.

Needless to say this one screwed me over something fierce.

> “Typical that a girl statue gets criticized for finding success the same way a very masc bull statue did”

Yeah it is typical because the bull was criticized as well then eventually accepted. Your “masculine” bull and the feminine figure are receiving equal treatment save for the fact that there was already something

That’s a shame. For what it’s worth I wholeheartedly support families and individuals who want to keep their illnesses private. Some people want as much support as they can get when they are sick but not everyone is like that, for other’s it is a very private or at least familial issue.

Not knowing how long he was

It looks like he’s dead...like he’s got blue paint on him or something

Because every job I’ve ever had used Outlook for email and powerpoint for presentations...?

So choosing a different word processor would involve ignoring an already installed (and paid for) piece of software.

And honestly if you do a rundown of the Office Suite I think Word is arguably the LEAST objectionable piece of

Funny is that Glassdoor’s survey of half a million salaries found that their unadjusted wage gap was actually higher (~24%) but their adjusted wage gap was only 5.4%

I guess my point is that if someone who negotiates is seen as ‘bitchy’, ‘not nice’ etc would that not also affect their work?

I want to be clear that I agree it’s a social construct and part of how we raise people. But in the same way we teach men to be confident and make their voices heard are those not positives in

I dated a young woman who was a contract negotiator in the aeronautics industry. We talked a lot about economics and I bought up the point about negotiation being statistically less favorable for women.

Her point was interesting: negotiation was a part of her job duties and something she excelled at. Removing it from

Interesting question that I don’t have time to dig into: This article is from the same group just last year

I rocked a Chrome mini-metro for a long time but had to ditch it.

Yeah I mean at the end of the day I think Marco Polo was fucking good (season 1 more than 2).

So if someone is trying to tear down a kung fu show for having a white dude as the star I’ve seen it work just fine already so that wasn’t the problem.
