As an old LGBT person, I remember when Clinton was surprisingly vocal and progressive about gay rights. People like to shit on her now for DADT but they forget that it was a compromise to get something passed and she was vocally in support of letting LGB people serve openly in the military way back in the early 90s.

Oh right, I forgot the BernieBro mantra that the Democratic party is “conservative” now. LMFAO.

S/he won’t click. Because they all refuse to research what Hillary actually stands for as an individual, and assume she must have the same positions as her husband. Aren’t women just extensions of their husbands, after all? Infuriating.

It is mostly the failure to call it a military coup, which she didn’t do because it wasn’t at all clear at the time that it was a military coup and because labeling it a military coup would require the US shutting off humanitarian aid to Honduras.

Ikr? An organization that gets bombs, shot up by gun men, and in which they have to vary their route home lest the be targeted for assassination seems to me to be the very definition of “revolutionary” not “the establishment”. I’m still pissed off about Bernie’s attack against them, it reeks of male privilege.

Not sure what you’re arguing about. She still says that. She said it today. “Safe legal and rare” is a pro-choice meme that has been around for a long time now.

Either abortion is a decision between a woman and her doctor or it’s not.

Prioritizing repealing Hyde, which prevents tax dollars from paying for abortions is kind of vital when your largest campaign plank is making all health care tax dollar funded.

I’m glad reproductive rights are becoming an issue that the Democrats are owning again. It’s weird that this started in the general rather than the primary, but still good.

Honestly, the lack of support for down ticket Dems was what finally turned me from Bernie to Hillary.

“I love Elizabeth Warren (because, since I don’t know that much about her, I can project all of my opinions onto her and idealize her only to have it come crashing down the second she says something I don’t like. Then I’ll call her a cunt.)“

She and Clinton are friends and she actively encouraged her to run. I know her views are more closely aligned with Sanders, but he’s not particularly well liked (beyond his email and donor list, which everyone likes a great deal now), so I don't think this was a particularly reluctant endorsement.

Yeah, nothing proves the existence of sexism and misogyny more than when they turn on a woman who is “uppity” and not behaving in a way that is pre approved by the bros. Simple human decency towards women is not “conditional” upon her behavior being approved by the bros.

Not to mention she signed a letter in 2013 with other female Senators encouraging Hillary to run in 2016.

Yeah, I don’t know why people think that throwing hissy fits and/or ultimately refusing to participate because they didn’t get their way accomplishes anything. Putting up a united front is how you defeat a common enemy, it’s not rocket science.

Sanders is defending voting for a bad bill (that he has since championed his vote for) based upon the good parts it contained.

I’m going to ignore the incomprehensible analogy by trying to keep things simple. Bernie actually voted for the damn bill. When he ran for Senate in 2006 his campaign boasted extensively of having voted for it. Where Hillary used the awful term “super predators”, Bernie went for “deeply sick and sociopathic” to

I do not, and never have suggested Bernie deserves criticism for voting for the bill. I think most people would have, and did, however liberal they are and however badly it turned out.

Bernie didn’t start talking about race—or criminal justice, which is inextricably tied to it—until he was protested. Hillary has been talking about it since the very beginning. Bernie’s Senate and campaign staff were white white white. Hillary’s were not. It is astounding to me how Bernie has convinced people he cares

Google. This has been explained.
Older voters want substance, younger voters want style. Older voters understand legislation and the judiciary. The Dem machine has been active in worlds that mean something to them.
