You mean how ridiculous of an idea it would be for the Republican nominee would debate the Democratic First Runner-Up? Both of these men are thinking this would be such a slap in the face to Hillary when it just looks like such an old guy move to put an uppity woman in her place.

I can. If Trump includes attacks on Hillary and demands that Bernie compare his plans to hers, what is Bernie going to do? Defend Hillary and undermine his own campaign that is attempting to prove how much better he is than her? Or attack Hillary and provide Donald with free soundbites for the general? That's not a

I wouldn’t say Sanders is a “pro” at debating. He’s been pretty lackluster in his debates against HRC, and merely repeats the same talking points. And his attempts to go negative have fallen flat. I would personally like to see Elizabeth Warren debating Donald Trump.

Because she didn’t. Sanders proposed the debate. She never agreed to it. Bernie doesn’t get to have whatever he wants just by demanding it. That’s not how life works unless you are a toddler.

Women are already disproportionately poorer than men, and it’s because they are way more likely to be single parents who don’t have a co-parent because somehow being legally responsible for a child doesn’t mean that a man is actually going to pay child support for that child. Or because the child support isn’t enough.

As an early childhood educator, I’ve actually had parents (men and women) tell me they are happy to have had sons instead of daughters because their sons will never come home pregnant.

I’m not sure you’re aware of how well you just proved my point... anyway:

“taken millions of dollars from banks” - when? Exact amounts, please. Money going to Bill doesn’t count.

Uhhh actually Warren had low favorable ratings (in the 40s) when she was running for Senate. People don’t like women who ask for promotions. So maybe her ratings wouldn’t be quite as low as Clinton’s, but there’s no reason to think she’d be immune from the usual effects of bias on women’s perceived likability.

Right. BEFORE SHE RAN FOR OFFICE, SHE DID SOME PAID SPEECHES. THERE IS NOTHING ILLEGAL, IMMORAL, OR UNETHICAL ABOUT IT, EXCEPT IN YOUR MIND.

She has taken money from people working at banks. The thing you are insinuating is illegal and hasn’t happened. About 7% of her election money comes from people working in banks. It’s such a scandal! ::eyeroll::

Except that you can’t truly judge opinions of Warren when she’s a hypothetical candidate and therefore not seen as actual threat. It’s disingenuous to pretend that a lot of that supposed good will wouldn’t evaporate the moment she had to temerity to run for president while possessing a vagina.

The biggest lie in politics is that the general election is not a zero sum game. Not voting at all, or voting for anyone other than his biggest opponent, IS a vote for Trump. There is nothing symbolic or meaningful about it. Voting for Nader in 2000 did not lead to better environmental policy when Bush won. Writing in

I’m getting sick of this liberal purity test nonsense. Do people really want a leftist tea party that exists to obstruct because it’s not progressive enough meanwhile fuck actually governing and taking care of things. Especially same whiny ass liberals got mad at PBO not being progressive enough they didn’t vote in

If, as you say, Clinton is really a moderate Republican, then her positions should be right in line with at least a portion of the Republican party. Because I totally remember how the Republicans are all about providing access to abortion, raising the minimum wage, implementing gun control, and preventing climate

When she had a 66% approval rating she was also a woman; so something else changed between then a now, and Brooks is looking at that.

Republicans have been screaming for decades that you should hate and distrust Hillary, using weasel words like “shrill” and baseless accusations like “Benghazi.”

I ... are you high? Do you believe that, only now, in these “enlightened times” people know some of their politicians are corrupt? How old are you? Twelve??? I’m guessing you do not remember, did not live through the time of Richard Nixon.

What should always been mentioned is the current context of her “unlikeability.” She was never going to be liked in any huge way by Republicans, so those numbers shouldn’t be a surprise.
