Its the paper ballots that really need recounting - and provisional ballots.... the voter suppression this election was astounding and you can chalk it up to the gutting of the Voting Rights Act by the Republicans. It’s minorities that were purged from the rolls and turned away in all those swing states, not rural…

At this point, I seriously don’t care about hypothetical unrest. Gore didn’t fight for the 2000 election because he wanted to be nice, and we got Bush. Not sure any “unrest” would be worse than the death toll from the Iraq War. I feel even stronger about it this time around since Turmp is fucking vile.

You don’t have a central electoral organization that could ask for recounts when widespread fraud or hacking is suspected? In Canada we have the director of elections to deal with such issues and illegal fundraising, etc.

A Trump Presidency would be worse. He, and anybody he felt like sharing the info with, would have the nuclear codes.

Ditto. If there’s any chance the voting was jacked for whatever reason, it needs to be investigated. It’s not even about who won or lost but the integrity of the system. If there’s legit evidence of something wrong, it needs to be addressed.

i had a really defeatist attitude about a possible recount earlier, but... what other option do we have? i won’t roll over and accept a trump presidency when there’s a chance, any chance at all, that this can be fixed.
