Swing and a miss.

This bride is not on acid. This bride is clearly full of shit.

I don't think y'all have done acid.

You're asking this on a website that took MRAs from being a weird little corner of the internet that only the most dedicated Internet People even knew existed, to being a movement beginning to get national recognition?

Read the thread ;) <——Not snark. I know the threads can be annoying.

I bet it's because you're funny! I've heard most women aren't funny!

For the most part, I just don't find other women particularly interesting, and find myself having more in common with the guys I know. It has nothing to do with trying to be attractive to anyone *shrug*

There Probably Homeschooled By They're Tooters.

I agree. I was skimming through, then I got to the New Yorker links and decided to go back up and read properly.

I second that. I don't even like Dunham, and I want to read this now.

Excellent review. Now I want to read her book. I have watched GIRLS and have the usual minor annoyances and grumbles about Dunham but have also been compelled enough to stay and watch more. Question: do you have a "Writer's or Submission Guidelines" at Jezebel?

Agreed. I haven't even been able to decide what I think about Dunham writing this book at this moment. "Critical mass" is the only thought that has come to mind, as in, "How much Lena can the world handle all at once before reaching critical mass?" This critique makes me think that, perhaps, we're not at the tipping

Welcome!

Jia! Yay! I've really missed your voice over at The Hairpin. I'm so glad to see you here.

I'm the new features editor! So yes, I will be around, slowly plumping up the general word count with my own and lots of other people's stuff.

Is this person going to be a regular writer here? If so, I am really, really pleased and interested.

Seconded/thirded/fourthed/whatever. This is some of the best writing I've seen here anytime recently, and I would love to have more of the thoughtful work to balance out the HuffPo direction some of the other articles have been taking.

Thank you, a lot :)

Hear, hear!

Jia is so good, I'm so excited she's here.
