I honestly think this is what the gameplay looks like. The camera is placed sort of how a camera in a skate video would be and I dig that idea and would be fine playing it this way almost like a 2.5D side scroller. The trick animations just need more polish.

I dig the tunes and the idea of a chill game, but even still I’d like there to be more accuracy. I would wanna unwind and do some tricks but I’d also like it to look like the rotations of the board and avatar to make more sense. This is how the trick in the gif starts.

It looks like a Nollie hardflip with a backside 180 but the board then also does a shove-it even though the rotation makes no sense visually. Also this is how it starts.

Am I just a jerk? This looks terrible. I mean I wanna play it, for science, and to make sure my hypothesis is correct. It just seems really unpolished. The jumping animations for the tricks aren’t smooth or organic looking. Maybe we’ve just had it too good with Skate and the THPS remake.
