Hey, do you think maybe Jez could do an article on what the ACLU is and how it works? This weekend I’ve seen a lot of people on the internet in general who don’t seem to know. Not just people who dislike the ACLU, which is absolutely fine and their own business, but people who seem to have misunderstood what it does.

This stood out to me as reported by CNN on the white supremacist who killed in Charlottesville.

Members of the police force or military are not protected classes, therefore “we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone” rules.

Without looking too far into it the owner seems to be pretty political and an activist. He probably doesn’t support American colonialism and aggression. I don’t see an issue with someone extending that lack of support to the people actually doing the fighting.
