When I was 17 I had an ‘88 Mazda 626 5-door 5spd. $600. Loved that car. Had a couple weird features that were factory-standard; those stupid ‘80s-’90s automatic shoulder belts and vents that could oscillate on command stand out most in my memory.

Long ago, when I was a sophomore in college, I took a great young gal on a date to see the newly released Sin City. Picked her up at her house, chit-chatted with her folks like a gentleman, then we set off into the night in my noble Honda steed...well, Civic.
