The criticism I always here of her is that she’s making the same movie over and over. As if Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell and every other male comedian ever didn’t do that exact same thing.
By the way, I wouldn’t call your exchange “fruitless.” It seems pretty clear that the Giants are more than willing to entertain the notion that the Washington team name is inappropriate.
MY MAID OF HONOR WAS A LENTIL!
I’ve got one - “Well, I know a Person A and B that had a $5 lentil wedding and now they’re TOGETHER FOREVER and THE KING AND QUEEN OF LOVE and I know a Person C and D who spent MONEY ON THEIR WEDDING and now they’re DIVORCED and live in HELL.”
Ladies and gents: I’ve been here at Jezebel for a loooooooong time now and I would like to welcome you all to Jezebel Wedding Bingo. Here are some of your squares
-City hall
-Simple dinner with friends
-Marriage is pointless and sexist
-Engagement rings are sexist

The headline in the NY Post would read “Van Veen Vexes Vogue Vamp”
THAT IS THE BEST DOUBLE CREATURE I’VE EVER SEEN.
There shouldn’t be a poll, because there is only one right answer.
I believe it’s pronounced Ree-tah Ore-ah
Counterpoint: She is a professional entertainer, and this entertained me.
Snark is not science. Also, a person should know better than to randomly bash herbal medicine at a site like Jezebel, since it was mostly developed and perfected over thousands of years by women. Used properly, it is safe and effective. If people want to deny themselves its benefits, they should be free to do so.
I’m cool on #2, but refusing to see parents who have guns in the home I’m less sure about. I can understand and respect an opposition to recreational firearms, but for children whose parents work in law enforcement, that doesn’t seem like an entirely reasonable stance to take.
Fair warning, though, Amy Tuteur (aka the Skeptical OB) frequently puts me on the A Pox on Both Your Houses side (#teamnoone) because she can be so incredibly obnoxious about stuff that really is not at all worth getting that obnoxious about.
Next there will be a fluff piece for Morgellon’s Disease and how it’s also totally real!
Most MDs, myself included, would agree behind closed doors that chronic lyme, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome, as they are commonly diagnosed, are all different manifestations of depression. But people don’t want to hear that they’re depressed, and people get angry when you point out this truth. As the…
I read that as describing the people who have no demonstrable laboratory abnormalities that still claim to have hypothyroidism. I know several people like this, some of whom use “natural” thyroid supplements which are supposed to boost energy and promote weight loss.
lyme disease is real. lyme disease not responding to initial treatments is real. what i question is yolanda and her self diagnoses of like 10 co-occurring disorders, EXTREME doctor shopping (100s of doctors in multiple countries), her treatments that are probably making her more sick, her call girl turned health…
I’m sure that these women are suffering. Whether their efforts are best spent chasing the specter of chronic lyme which (probably) isn’t real, is questionable. I too suffer from an “invisible” chronic pain disorder (chronic migraines) so I get the “you don’t look sick” thing, but I just can’t get behind long-term…
