@hambonetoblerone: Hahaha. Now imagine saying this in public - this is why you're not supposed to bring them with you on your errands.

@mosaiclobster: That would be more logical, wouldn't it?
All of these parenting philosophies seem to be 99% common sense and 1% crazy-gone-way-too-far. I recently read up on Love & Logic parenting, which sounds totally reasonable - don't just say "No" or dictate to your child; let them make mistakes and learn from them.
@JennyJazz: Good point. Tyson ranks a lot lower than Mel on my humanity scale, personally.
@nobodyr: I had a couple of trick or treating children dressed as "Mexicans." The funny thing was that I'm fairly certain they were actually Mexican. I couldn't decide what to make of that.
@je suis prest: So what would you have him do? Use his wealth to invent a time machine?
@Lorin: We want people to learn and grow but when they do they get called hypocrites.
Fish oil is one of the few supplements that has actually been shown by SCIENCE to be medically beneficial. Just sayin.
@weaselina: There is a post downthread somewhere about some kind of sound phenomenon that causes this. Check it out.
@samanthajonesprqueen: Absolutely.
@scullymurphy: I was also a constantly afraid child, but I don't think anyone ever told me about ghosts. Maybe because I was born in 1980, so Ghostbusters was the biggest thing going in my childhood? (And still one of my all time favorites!) I slept on the floor of my parents' room every night from when they made me…
I always thought it was quite clear Mr. Dodson was a perfectly intelligent man. The reason he became such a sensation (and was able to spawn a hit song) was the almost oddly poetic way he spoke. I'm glad he's using his internet fame to better himself and his family. I would never hate on him.
@quinnelizabeth: I have owned that book for probably 5 years, and I've never gotten around to reading it. I'm way too fraid-y, and my husband works nights.
@L-dizzle: That is really interesting. I wonder, though, I have experienced feelings of fear and dread from meeting creepy people (sociopathic criminals). Is that the same feeling the infrasound creates? Because your subconscious detects a fearsome situation, even when you're conscious tells you you're perfectly safe?
@grace ipsa loquitur: I loved Kurt's performance that episode, but that was the only highlight for me. Both Rachel's number and (especially) Finn's sounded like karaoke where they were trying to imitate the original recording. I don't find that interesting at all. Maybe I'll have to rewatch it to pick up what you're…
@grace ipsa loquitur: Good point. I think that episode was poorly written on a million different levels.
@grace ipsa loquitur: I'm not remembering the details very clearly, but as I recall, I just thought he could have been more gracious and let people do their thing and pray for his dad. He certainly didn't have to participate or even acknowledge the prayers. Or I might have just been in a bad mood that episode and took…
@grace ipsa loquitur: I've never felt unsympathetic toward him, but there are definitely moments where he has acted like an immature little bastard. Like the entire God episode. I had sympathy for him having a sick dad, but his behavior was still obnoxious.
@Buggie: He's the absolute worst. If he and Tina get back together, I'll be ill.
@RaisinGirl.OfficeGirl is late to the debate: I'm not sure they want us to like anyone, honestly. Every character is horribly grating occasionally, but Will, Rachel, and Artie are definitely my least favorite.
