I guess I didn’t word my reply well, Ailes is wealthy and powerful enough that after his first divorce he could have remained single and it wouldn’t have hurt him. Never married in the 60's & 70's would have raised some questions.

Ailes didn’t need cover, he would have been abusive as a married man or a single one, he had all the power in the situations he was in.
