I do see one thing that might help as a self defense from reading some of these, especially with acquaintance rape, you have to humanize yourself (you shouldn’t HAVE to, I know...) and do your best to make eye contact, make him SEE you, make him see it’s not a good thing.

Conflicted on this. I really felt Wally Lamb’s “She’s Come Undone” was a great, believable story of a young teenage girl. I thought it was great that a man had that kind of understanding and empathy for what a young girl was going through really rough things was feeling and how she reacted, it rang so true.
