In some ways you are right, but to someone that needs $1000 to fix their transmission and has a 33% interest rate on their $5,000 maxed out VISA and has kids, etc. this is an inconceivable amount of money.

My sister adopted a child in the US. Seeing what she went through after minds were changed, then unchanged, changed again and the fight that followed? I cannot imagine a celebrity wanting to adopt in this country.
I think they should sue, too. I do also know there is some terrible stuff out there with children taken from poor women. The following is a bit sensational, but I remember hearing about this and seeing an expose on it a gazillion years ago, including a poor young widower who was tricked into having his 5 young kids…
I don’t know. A friend lost her daughter who was only 24 and the morning/day of the funeral she posted all sorts of recipes and “liked” a ton of wierd things, like handsome male models.
But these same people are very, very concerned about property. Just think of they CVS store windows, oh the humanity!
I agree with you for similar reasons.
This is so great. It gave me goosebumps.
LOL, 12 was the worst, I got tons of unwanted attention that frightened me. The catcalls, the car following me slowly on my bike, the teacher looking at my (nonexistent) boobs, etc., the group of older boys cornering me when I went to the public bathroom at the beach in my bathing suit, the neighbor looking me up and…
I had a pregnant single woman as a manager who did similar to me. I talked to her once about it and she exploded at me that it wasn’t fair that I had gotten the bartender job without the struggles that she had to face. WTF?
This is so normal. If they were happily married, they truly liked being married, they want to be in that kind of relationship again.
Wally Lamb is an exception. She’s Come Undone rang so true to me.
I was 13, unescorted, on a plane headed to LA. I was seated next to a professional soccer player who flirted heavily with me. I lied and told him I was 19 and in college. He wanted me to stay over with him and I couldn’t/didn’t. It took me forever to not look back on this as “wow, I pulled that off” to holy cow, I was…
Don’t talk at all, unless you need to talk because you’ll get tazed for not answering a question like the cops that quit in Parma did.
An idiot bartender at a nice, upscale, older clientele bar. His joke, “Why do women wear makeup and perfume?....Because they are ugly and stink”. It cracks him up and he laughs at his own joke like it’s hilarious. Everyone looks at him like he’s crazy, so he repeats it in case we didn’t understand.
I went to school with a Rick Braun, his name didn't seem that cool. My roomie Cliff Steele? His name rocked.
It's also about the greenery. Not that there is a ton at the Ren faire, but it's really in short supply at Coachella.
My wiring harness was chewed up a bit by rats and it caused all sorts of gremlins. I ended up getting the harness replaced at the dealer (not cheap) and get my car back and all of a sudden, I no longer have a fuel guage that works, and other warning lights are on. I point this out and the service rep tells me I'm…
Yeah, there was a study awhile back that showed the larger the group, the less likely someone would help. This poor woman, because she was out of it, couldn’t do what they suggest, which is make eye contact with ONE person and ask them to help. For some reason this kicks most people into gear to do the right thing.
It was easy to stay in “love” when you don’t have to live with a crazy person. While she was in jail he probably had the romantic notion that she would sacrifice everything for him and had. Now he lives with a nutjob.
He was younger than that though. I think it was Jr. High. Not that High School is much better, but 13 is way worse in my mind than 17. I was wrong. He was in Elementary School. Even more heinous.
