I dunno yo, I'd rather they owned up to it in all it's messiness. I don't know how that particularly ugly part of my religion came about is pretty problematic to me.

This kind of unrelated by why weren't black people allowed into the church for so long? I've always wondered that.
I'm 22 and I think maybe watching shows about my own peers just isn't for me at the end of the day... I think I like escapist tv more. I also have some issues with the way the show is written in terms of it's ability to tell a story arc. To each their own!
It's the weirdest thing because it's this huge love-in/shame cycle thing that maybe I'm probably thinking too much about.
Oh I know! You know to be honest maybe it's just I don't find the show interesting enough to warrant the attention? Ugh Girls, y u do this to me...
I guess I mean more the site's attitude on the whole has been a bit flippy-floppy? Obviously articles are written by different people, so attitude will be different but there just seems to be an odd amount of attention paid to this show. Or when Lena Dunham is on a magazine cover. I just don't get why this one show is…
Everytime I read a Girls article in Jezebel, all I hear is Regina George in my head going "why are you so obsessed with me?"
Even readers on her own website have commented that her columns here just. don't. work. That should be a huge tip.
Tyler Durden what have you BECOME?
You're Hannibal comment made me laugh for a straight minute, thank you!
THANK YOU. I feel almost sacrilegious saying it but it got so muddled towards the end there...
I would NEVER defend someone for saying something so freaking stupid. BUT interesting to note that the government itself has actually taken this angle before. She's still a stright up fool however...
I can't tell if this is insanely exploitative or the best thing I've ever seen.

Didn't she go a bit cray-cray and poison his prized roses? Ah the crazy live loves of famous children's tv scientists.
Isn't it actually Krabappel... or are you making a really specific reference to Homer thinking it was Crabapple? Both are acceptable.
You're making Vancouver look really really stupid right now. Head to the VPL and check a dictionary for the term satire. See whatcha get.
Uh uh. Well as you can see there are other women of colour here who were offended. And as a general rule I'd say black face is offensive regardless of context given how it was used in the past and still used today. It was not necessary here in this instance and other than being used in a Spike Lee movie, lets say, I…
You told them blackface wasn't offensive?
