You circulate anything which can be reasonably described as a “manifesto” criticizing your company’s hiring practices, and you’re not already in a senior leadership position or a recognized expert on the subject, you’ve begun a countdown which will end with your removal from the building and termination as an

I think google was probably making the decision based on “do we want to get sued for wrongful termination by one employee, or do we want to get sued for a hostile work environment by every single one of our female employees?

To be fair, it wasn’t his job to figure out how to handle gender diversity in tech.

He was willfully creating a hostile work environment for everyone who he had singled out in that memo, and he is unrepentant about it. It’s pretty cut and dry, really.

The place we disagree is when it comes to population level differences in things like IQ— we generally say that the tests are biased. I mean, we know they’re biased. People aren’t getting smarter, yet we need to adjust for the

The dude who wrote this screed in the first place can’t hold a discussion otherwise he wouldn’t trash people in secret. The people he knows know that they can’t talk to him without getting something like, “Blacks cause all the crime,” or “If we’d let the free market handle it, it’d regulate itself.” C’mon guy. You

There’s no discourse in claiming that moral issues should be de-moralized, or that empathy should be de-emphasized. Amorality and lack of empathy are quite literally the hallmarks of sociopathy.
