No good deed goes unpunished.
No good deed goes unpunished.
Everybody’s problematical round here eventually.
I have no opinion on this, sorry. It’s a non sequitur.
Can you rephrase the question? It was so oblique I’m not sure what you’re asking.
So if Hillary wins she’ll owe favours to Wall Street, big oil and big pharma. If Bernie wins, he’ll owe favours to...the working poor.
This is so true. A vote for Hillary is a vote for the patriarchy, within which she is thoroughly entrenched. There’s a lot of complaints here about “Bernie Bros” and “I like Bernie but I despise his supporters”, but in fact the bulk of the vitriol and whining I see here is coming from the Hillary camp. Typical white guy? lol.
I am going to choose to believe your dad really did call you “Supernova”.

Definitely narcissists. Everything’s always about them.
I am a woman and I read many such books when I was young. It never stopped me being an independant, self-actualised person. But in any case, I’m nor arguing it does no harm.
The story said he turned out the light. It’s possible he just reached in and flipped the switch if it was right by the door. Hard to say from the context.
I’m not comfortable with librarians, or even other people, deciding what is an isn’t “harmful”. It’s not about freedom of speech, it’s about freedom to choose your own lifestyle.
“Harley Quinn pushes a cop off a roof”
You’re awsome :)
I agree it’s bullying, the kind that happens all the time even between friends, and the kids either continue to be friends and work it out, or move on. We can’t discount the value of learning to negotiate with our peers, which is rather undermined if our parents work it all out behind our backs.
Must have missed it. It was still a massive best-seller though wasn’t it? And they made a movie. So the backlash can’t have tainted it too much. On the other hand, they never did make a Golden Compass sequel, but that might have been because it was rubbish.
Britain abolished slavery 70 years before the US did. What genocides?
The Irish don’t get a pass either. And Australians deserve at least half the blame for the things that happened in Australia.
