It was ridiculous that people thought it was OK to name her without her consent. You can’t just go around telling people’s stories for them. And in this case it was an assumption not based on fact.

I love Rashida. I bet Pixar was overwhelmed with relief when they started reading, but then she hit them with that last sentence like:

The power I had over these women is that they admired me.

It’s worth reading her whole piece. It’s almost indisputably on point, well-written, thoughtful and aware. It’s excellent.

I am so impressed that she spoke out (regardless of her privilege, it’s always difficult to do so), and then used her position to amplify the voices of those who are rarely, if ever heard.

This is SUCH great news - I loved this show so much. I will watch the crap out of it if it comes back.

I think there is a conversation to be had about the difference between “accusation” and “rumor”.

That’s generally how I try to hire people. I can easily train them in the skills required for the job. I can’t train them not to be idiots and assholes.
