"General lack of small talk" can't possibly apply to any character on this show.

Seriously, I started with the first recap and am halfway through the second season.  :X  Not a great start for keeping me "current."

Tristan is the worst.  Get written off already.

The Breakfast Club homage was lazy as shit, and I agree it did nothing to further the characters, as if Breakfast Club wasn't 100% about the characters.  Still a decent episode, plenty of laughs, and finally moving towards something resembling resolution with Trav and Laurie.

Followup: who says "tomahto?"

@avclub-4602fc349ffc0ad649190e937f2a5f14:disqus : This was a decade ago, when it was still acceptable!  Not the pile of shit it became in the interim.

I wonder if Lorne ever mourns the losses his shows could've had.

I am happy to admit it: I don't ride Bull Murray's jock like the rest of the universe.  Sure, he's great in a lot, and I would totally fuck him, but I dunno, I don't think I connect with him in a lot of roles, or his public persona.  Whatever.

Doody looks like a name.  Doodie looks like a thing.

Loved her impression of Alex.  The way these characters make fun of each other in subtle ways really ties the show together for me.  (And the ways they fun of each other in obvious ways, haha.)

Jon Lovitz is the shit and that movie holds up surprisingly well, or I'm a 90's child who relates to the satire.  Either way, that guy with the OJ chase going around his hair?  That's some solid fucking comedy.

Elisha Cuthbert won me over in House of Wax, of all things.  She got her lips super-glued shut and had to rip them open!  I fell in love.  (…for some reason.)

I didn't find Thumbhead Larry to be all that unattractive.

Back when Nielsen was a booklet and not a box, I would go through and fill in Simpsons repeats for every TV, for every airing.  We pretty much just filled out the shows we wanted on day one and mailed them back, to be honest.

Off the top of my head, top SNL alumnusi, in order:

She is near the top of my SNL alum list.  I realize that's a lofty claim, but I was devastated when she left and is 90% of the reason I first watched Happy Endings.  (Elisha Cuthbert was 5% and "the blonde intern from the new season of Scrubs" was 5%; this is unfair to the entire cast's true talent, but meh.)  She is

Poor CW still isn't a primetime network yet, is it.

When is he going to get bored of lens flares?

Lenses flaring.

Mike and Molly is seriously such run-of-the-mill C- / D+ trash.  I'm glad she got the statue and whatnot, but ugh, that show.
