Yeah, the conversation between Maling and the kid was flawless.  The unusual comedic timing of this show is what has me coming back to see if it evolves into something actually, you know, good.  Right now it's got some laughs and some good qualities but is mostly a big blah.

I totally disagree that people on TV care more about Halloween costumes than us real world inhabitants.  I've seen much more complex and original costumes in real life than I've ever seen on gag reels like the one in this episode.
