I'm not talking Billboard, I'm talking worldwide, I don't see anywhere in the article or in the comment I replied to specifying the American music market only.  Dance took over pop everywhere else in the world a long time before it took over America.

Seriously.  Call On Me by Eric Prydz was a massive worldwide hit in 2004.  Kylie Minogue's Can't Get You Out Of My Head was a massive worldwide hit in 2001-2002.  David Guetta's first charting single was in 2002.  Pop has been in the throes of a dance takeover for the better part of this millennium.

My "up to 4" included 4, I'm right there with you - I really don't think the negatives that other people considered too much were all that bad.  The style was great, the story used the set pieces really effectively even if the story didn't pay off quite as well, and I fully agree that "the room" concept was amazing.

Don't give a fuck, seeing this tonight.  I am an unabashed fan of the first movie and of most of the games (well, everything up to 4) and will have a fucking blast.

"Bestie" is the same deal - it's not a new term, just - apparently - new to this generation.
