@James Taylor: Had to google it but yeah that looks about right for me too. At least I'm not the only one.

@dirtybacon: I'm the same way. While the Hitchhiker books are certainly full of a greater number of good ideas, they're generally more scattered and less cohesive than Dirk Gently.

I'm not feeling the guy they cast as Dirk. I always pictured Dirk as sort of a pudgy little weird dude, not a pseudo Benedict Cumberbatch tall lanky dude. Basically I'm whining because he's just too close to being conventionally attractive. Wah wah wah.

@brandoshido: I recently watched the original for the first time since I was probably 7 (meaning, I didn't really remember anything) and frankly, the whole thing was a total nonsensical mess. I'm undeterred in my desire to see Tron: Legacy, though, but that's got just about everything to do with the Daft Punk

Why would they go to Michael Bay of all people? Did they come up with a new bra that also transforms into a car?

@spikejnz: I never get sick of these.

Downside of EL Wire: It's easily overpowered by ambient light. I had a project I thought I'd use it for but opted for LEDs instead because I wanted the brightness.

@Gemini-Phoenix: I don't remember any of them in particular, but based soley on the video, the gymnast lady is my favorite. Because she's a gymnast and can actually do Lara Croft-y things.

@justhesh: They don't even test myths anymore, it's just like "here's some shit from a movie that no one thinks you can actually do, and we'll prove everyone right!"

@zyphane: I feel like Mythbusters has gotten progressively less interesting as it goes on. It's like they're testing myths nobody actually believes are real and then SURE ENOUGH it's not real.

Damn, this made me want to read The Authority again. That's a comic I don't expect to ever see in movie form. I just can't picture it working at all, given the weirdness and the huge scale of it all. Not that I wouldn't watch it if they did, I just can't imagine it actually being good, no matter what the rating.

This made me smile really big. I love that they kicked ass with such an openly feminine sounding name. It's like all the dudes would have been snickering about it and then BAM checkmate. Love it.

This article has reminded me that I really need to get the DKC soundtracks on mp3. I used to have them all as spc files that I would play with a plugin for winamp, but now that I don't use winamp anymore they don't do me any good. Same for Chrono Trigger and FF6.

@saralegal21: Damn that's what I came in here to say.

@Occula: Oh my god, those are deco delicious. I want them all on my wall, in a nice, perfect line.

@Descarada: I love Matt Smith! I was falling out of love with the show following the end of David Tennant's run, but the newest season has really won me back over. It helps that they finally decided to include more than one companion again, at least for a while. I think it's really good for the general TARDIS

@johnva: "I'm also not convinced that simply renaming civil marriage "civil unions" for everyone, gay or straight, would satisfy the bigots who oppose same sex marriage. Most of them, I'm convinced, oppose SSM purely because they disapprove of gay people and want society to discriminate against them."

@johnva: Right, I do understand that the two are technically unrelated, that the license is all that matters to the state and the ceremony is all that matters to the church.

He may as well have just taken a canvas and scrawled "LOOK AT ME, PLEASE PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!!!" all over it, over and over again.
